There are certain projects that have been notable within my career but also my evolution as an artist and I really feel this was one of them. I partnered with the Clyfford Still Museum in Denver to shoot a dance film in the beautiful museum space, one of the world’s most intact public collections of any major artist. I wanted to explore the parallels between contemporary dance and Abstract Expressionism through the work of Clyfford Still. To really study, research and dive into Clyfford Still’s vast body of work inspired me on a deep level as I uncovered so many aspects of it that resonated within myself and my own work as a movement artist.
The film premiered on Nowness in November of 2022.
